Board of Adjustment & Appeals
The Board consists of five members appointed by the City Council. They hear requests for variances and appeals of the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. The Board holds public hearings on the condition of buildings under the City's Substandard Structure Ordinance and directs staff in any required actions. The Board meets on an as needed basis during the year.
Economic Development Board
The purposed of the PPEDC is to promote economic development within the City of Pilot Point in order to eliminate unemployment and underemployment, and to promote and encourage employment and the public welfare for and on behalf of the City. One of the main goals of the PPEDC is to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Pilot Point through helping to create jobs and stimulate economic growth through increasing business opportunities and encouraging the grown of new opportunities.
Historic Review Board
The Board consists of seven member board appointed by the City Council. They review all applications submitted for improvements in the City's historic Square District. The Board reviews such improvements as new additions and rehabilitation projects. The Board meets on an as needed basis during the year.

Main Street Advisory Board
The Main Street Advisory board is responsible for helping to revitalize the Historic Town Square. In association with the Texas Historical Commission and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Pilot Point utilizes the successful and proven four-point approach. These four points include Design, Economic Restructuring, Organization, and Promotions.
Design is responsible for the physical and aesthetic look and feel of the square. This includes not only the buildings, but also the layout of the square, sidewalks, planters, and anything else that will help to initially draw in people to come and explore the square.
Economic Restructuring involves working with current and future business owners to not only have new businesses open up in downtown, but also work with the great businesses we already have to make them even better.
Organization involves helping the Main Street Advisory Board, staff, and volunteers to be the most effective with the resources that we have available. This may mean working to help identify volunteers and pairing their skills and interests with the needs of the board and organization.
Promotions is exactly what is sounds like it would be. This involves getting the word out about this hidden gem that we have.
Parks & Recreation Board
To enhance a city wide park and recreation system which improves the quality of life and promotes safe and enjoyable outdoor activities for all citizens of Pilot Point.
Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission is a seven member board appointed by the City Council. The Commission reviews all applications submitted for plat approval, rezoning, and specific use permits and prepares a recommendation for the City Council. They also are tasked with the development of a comprehensive plan for the physical development of the city. The Commission meets on the first Monday of each month.
