Message from the Mayor

4-4-20, 5:15 pm

Message from the mayor.

Today in Denton County 15 new cases of COVID-19 we’re reported. This increases the countywide total to 288 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Zero new positive cases are associated with Denton State Supported Living Center. No deaths were reported today.

I do want to report that within the Pilot Point zip code we have an additional case that was confirmed Thursday. They do not live within the city limits but within our zip code. The case numbers on the attached chart will only report numbers within our city limits.

Please pray for those who are directly affected by this virus.

On a positive note....

Our community is doing well. We’ve had few complaints or reports of violating the Governors order.

Remember to stay at home whenever possible. You may go outside, go for walks, go fishing or other outdoor activities as long as you keep a 6 foot social distance from others. Shop publicly only when necessary and do NOT take the whole family. Please continue to wash your hands, use disinfectants and most importantly use common sense. You don’t want to spread this virus unknowingly to others.

Keep it up Pilot Point! You’re doing a great job. One town, one team, one nation, Bearcat Nation.

I’ve also attached a link for a different report from Denton County Health Department. It’s an interactive report showing by ZIP Code and you may click on list and it will give you the cities with recoveries.
