The following divisions comprise the Finance Administration Department:
The Financial Services Department manages and accounts for the City’s financial resources. The department is responsible for:
- Preparing and monitoring the Annual Budget Report
- Investing city funds and protect asets Investment Reports
- Maintaining fiscal liquidity
- Maximizing income in compliance with all governing financial and accounts laws
In addition, the department provides daily financial operations for the City, such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt administration and financial reporting.
Financial Reporting and Transparency
We strive to achieve excellence in financial reporting and maintain high quality bond ratings.
The following summary data is from the government-wide Statement of Activities in the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The government-wide Statement of Activities reports the results of the City’s operations on an accrual basis of accounting. Revenues are recognized when earned and expenses are recognized at the time the liability is incurred.
The per capita figures are based on the City’s 2017 estimated population of 5,047.
